EDUCA24: Finnish primary school pupils get an app and learning materials for AI education
The Generation AI project will publish an AI application and supporting teaching material for primary school pupils. The research-based service allows children and young people to safely learn to understand AI-based technologies.
At EDUCA 2024, we will launch a package of materials offering a research-based solution for teaching AI skills in primary schools.
The easy-to-use service includes a Teachable Machine AI application and related tasks designed for children and young people, which has been tried out by just over 500 schoolchildren across Finland.
The toolkit allows students to design and implement their own AI-based application, deepening their understanding of key concepts in machine learning through creative activities.
The materials to be published are part of the Generation AI project, funded by the Strategic Research Council, which aims to help children and young people understand AI and machine learning technologies.
The project also aims to help them critically and ethically examine the different contexts, uses and impacts of AI-based technologies.
Come and test the machine you are learning on and learn more about the materials at our stand 6k8
