AI, as part of familiar applications, helps us find information, offers us route options, helps us stay in touch with friends and recommends news, music or movies that might interest us. With AI, we also get personalised ads and information about products, events and services that we didn’t necessarily know we needed – and might not need.

  • What accessibility guidelines does the application meet?

    The application has been designed to meet the requirements of the WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility Guidelines. The application has been carefully tested by usability researchers and uses modern interface libraries.

  • Is the machine to be taught in Finnish?

    Yes. The machine to be taught is in Finnish. It has also been translated into English, Portuguese (Brazilian), Swedish, German, and Ukrainian.

  • Is the machine to be taught GDPR compliant? Does the app collect data?

    The app is 100% GDPR compliant. It does not collect information about the user or monitor the user’s activities. The student’s output is stored on a local device.

  • Is there a charge for the machine you are learning on?

    The Teachable Machine is a free app and can be found at https://tm.generation-ai-stn.fi

  • What kind of devices does the machine you are teaching on work on?

    The teaching machine is implemented using modern user interface solutions. This means that the teaching machine can be used on any device, whether it’s a phone, tablet or computer. 

    The machine being taught can also be used in such a way that, for example. a computer opened on a tablet acts as a hub to which phones connect. This allows the machine to be used together.

    Somekone has been published in Finnish and English. The translation is still in progress, so in some places English and Finnish are mixed up.
