Teacher, make these preparations

Come up with a username together. Put both of your first names in the name field. Then press “start”

The second student in the pair can access the data view on their own device from the share button on the right-hand side. Share the data views at this point. It will be needed for the next task.

Discuss with the whole class what kind of activity points the students got!

Teacher, go to the profiling tab

When you go to the profiling tab, the social media machine pauses. Students will receive a notification on their phone. Now it’s time to tell your students about the profiling task.

All photos have a subject tag, i.e. #hashtag. The profile of the somekone shows the most common subject tags. They are based on images you have actively responded to.

Explore the profile page on another device or two

Find out what kind of profile a social networking site has created about you. Did it manage to profile you well?
